Engineer - Fire Protection (Facilities)

Be part of a renowned M&E company Usually 5-day work week (9.00am to 6pm) Up to S$5,000 Good corporate culture with long history Responsibilities Lead and manage the fire protection team (consisting of 1 Assistant Engineer, 3 Technical Officers & 4 workers). Develop and implement fire protection strategies, standards, and policies in line with industry regulations. Create fire protection plans by working closely with other departments and contractors. Design and execute fire safety training programs for facility staff and workers. Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure compliance. Stay abreast of developments in fire protection systems, codes, and standards; ensure the team remains updated on best practices. Liaise with regulatory bodies, fire departments, and other stakeholders to guarantee compliance with codes and regulations. Provide technical support to project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders as needed. Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of fire protection systems; ensure all fire protection systems are in good working condition. Develop and monitor budgets, providing regular reports to the Director of Facilities Management. Maintain accurate documentation of projects. Liaise with and coordinate with clients. Attend meetings when required. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Facilities, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. Preferably with a minimum of 3 or 5 years of experience in fire protection or facilities management, with a focus on fire protection. Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, principles, codes, and standards is advantageous. Experience in managing and leading a team of engineers and technicians. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and develop creative solutions. Having LTA / Tunnel experiences will be an added advantage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
