IT Security Specialist - Information Security

• Identify, assess, and resolve vulnerabilities in existing security frameworks.
• Develop and implement security protocols across the organization to ensure data protection and network safety.
• Document and track known security incidents, vulnerabilities, and preventive measures.
• Maintain and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Monitor security events and respond promptly to potential threats.
• Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to evaluate system security.
• Stay current with evolving threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies to proactively counter emerging security risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security protocols into new systems and applications.
• Use various tools to scan and discover network/system vulnerabilities and conduct penetration testing as required.
• Maintain detailed records and reports of security incidents, responses, and compliance measures.
• Review security configurations for firewalls, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and other critical security systems.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with external cybersecurity vendors and partners to ensure collaboration and support.
• Plan and execute incident response strategies, including breach investigations, documentation, and recommendations for preventing future incidents.
• Support the change management process to ensure security is maintained during system updates or changes.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-4 years of experience in IT security.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and stakeholder levels.
• Analytical Skills: Proven analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills to address and resolve security issues efficiently.
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
• Strategic Thinking: Capacity to align security initiatives with organizational goals.

• Network Security: Solid understanding of network architecture, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Operating System Security: Proficiency in securing operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Penetration Testing: Skilled in vulnerability identification and exploitation for strengthening security measures.
• Programming: Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, and scripting languages like PowerShell.
• Encryption: Knowledgeable in encryption techniques and data protection strategies.
• Software Configuration: Experienced in configuring and managing security software, including antivirus and anti-malware programs.
• Cyber Operations: Understanding of cyber defense strategies and operations to combat potential threats.
