Job Description: The Payments team in Singapore is looking for an experienced Software Engineer who will be an integral part of the engineering team assisting with various tasks and projects for design, development, testing and maintenance of products or systems. This position involves full-time hands-on development in a scrum team of 6-8 engineers. The person is expected to be highly competent technically and able to collaborate well with other engineers. This is exciting engineering work with a significant impact on delivering business goals. What you need to know about the role: Providing Technical Support to senior engineers in the design, implementation, and maintenance of engineering projects. Conducting Research and Analysis to collect data, and analyze information to support engineering projects. Participation in testing activities, including the development of test cases, execution of tests, and documentation of test results to ensure the quality and reliability of products or systems. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as product, and other engineering teams, to facilitate effective communication and project coordination. Troubleshooting technical issues, investigate problems, and propose resolutions or workarounds in a timely manner. Managing the release and monitoring of software components. What you need to bring: Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or related area. 1 to 3 years of hands-on development experience. Extensive experience with Java, Junit, Maven, Git, and Sonar in development. Experience working in a scrum team for at least a year and practicing agile methodologies. Experience implementing REST APIs or SOA components. Effective use of OO-design and design patterns in your work. Experience developing code using SQL. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision. Flexibility and willingness to learn new technologies and adapt quickly.
