WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU: MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identifies prospective accounts and establishes goals for Key Accounts by analysing historical data and other statistical information and also by conducting accounts interviews and preparing customer action plans.
  • Attends fairs in order to represent the Hotel and/or region according to the action plan within the Business/Marketing Plan of the Hotel, in co-ordination with the Regional or Corporate Sales.
  • Priority in sales activities to be given to the domestic market for the local travel trade as well as for corporate accounts.
  • Works on the international market in close co-ordination with the General Manager according to internal regulations.
  • Final approval of room availability during high booking periods is taken by the Hotel operation’s management.
  • Emphasis on the right market mix to maintain product quality and minimize long-term market dependence.
  • Regular meetings with hotel operations (Rooms Division, Reservation and Food & Beverage) to exchange information and problem-solve.
  • Reduces administrative work to achieve a minimum of 5-7 personal sales/courtesy calls per day and 10 telephone sales/courtesy calls per day, while maintaining prompt correspondence to accounts.
  • Ensures all incoming correspondence (inquiries, requests, offers, confirmations, etc.) are attended to and replied to in due time.
  • Prepares and transmits weekly Call Reports to the supervisor and/or the General Manager, and establishes a Monthly Report summarizing past activities, prospection, trends, and competitor analysis.
  • Aims to achieve key figures from key accounts/key markets through preparation and execution of proper action plans.
  • Co-responsible for the settlement of outstanding accounts, following up regularly towards local Travel Trade to match credit policy in co-ordination with the Credit Manager/Rooms Division.
  • Establishes and signs contracts with local In-bound Operators/Travel Agents/Corporate, considering the official Rate Policy in co-ordination with the General Manager.
  • Conducts rate market surveys to advise management of actual market trends.
  • Establishes and co-signs contracts with International Tour Operators/Corporate respecting the Rate and Contract Policy together with the General Manager.
  • Ensures all staff are familiar with the Hotel’s emergency procedures and are prepared for any emergency which may occur.
  • Responsible for setting up and maintaining ongoing training programs in the department in conjunction with the Director of HR & the L&D Manager.
  • Maintains a monthly overview of vacation and public holiday balances of all staff and delivers a monthly consolidated summary to the Director of HR.
  • Familiar with all related company documentation, especially the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility.
  • Assumes responsibility of Duty Manager when scheduled.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Press Releases, PR activities, Advertisements, etc. are executed and co-ordinated by the GM’s Office.
  • Electronic Distribution Systems are updated by the hotel operation regularly.
  • Assists in Task Force Teams for new openings.
  • Carries out any other reasonable tasks as requested.
Qualifications: Master's Degree in Marketing or Diploma in vocational hospitality, with 8 – 10 years of experience in 4-5 star Hotel. #J-18808-Ljbffr
