About the Role We have a new opportunity for a high calibre experienced Analyst – Finance & Commercial - to analyse and evaluate the financial and operational performance of business operations, with strong collaboration skills, analysing transactions, and utilising data-driven insights to identify areas of improvement, optimize processes and provide accurate reporting. Partnering with location leadership to provide accurate reporting, forecasting, and budgets. This role will directly support the commercial manager and play a critical role in working capital management and capital investment justification/preparation. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyse, and interpret data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement, including financial data and operational metrics.
- Assess the financial and operational performance of different business units, key clients, and initiatives against plan/key performance indicators (KPIs)/benchmarks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Prepare accurate and quality insight/commentary to communicate business performance to stakeholders.
- Utilise current and historical data including market trends to develop accurate forecasts, budgets, and projections.
- Actively seek opportunities to enhance data collection methods, reporting tools, and analytical techniques.
- Drive invoicing/Supplier processing and settlement discipline.
- Support the preparation of capital investment requests and provision of accurate data required by CM for tenders and opportunity pricing.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using data visualization tools and creating impactful reports.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- CA or CPA qualified, or equivalent.
