Associate / Senior Associate, Restructuring & Insolvency Apply remote type Hybrid locations Sydney time type Full time posted on Posted 30+ Days Ago job requisition id JR00000454 Your role Our Restructuring and Insolvency team sits within our Disputes and Investigations Practice and both groups are preeminent in the Asia Pacific region. Our international reach and experience acting in cross-border situations puts us at the forefront of global trends in both commercial litigation and restructuring and insolvency. At Allens, our structure means you'll get exposure to a number of different Partners within your practice group and a wide variety of work and sectors. We encourage our lawyers to find their niche and specialise in areas they're interested in, while building a strong foundation across their field. The team have handled some of Australia’s most significant restructuring and insolvency matters in recent years. Your role within our team could typically include advising on:
- Large and complex corporate restructuring and workouts
- Formal insolvency administrations (including receiverships, administrations and liquidations) for Australia's major banks, private capital funds and leading accounting firms
- Distressed investment opportunities for private capital funds
- Cross border restructuring and insolvency matters, working closely with our alliance partner, Linklaters
- Significant commercial litigation for Australia's leading companies
- Experience working in back-end restructuring and insolvency at a leading Australian practice or international firm. We are open to seeing lawyers with a mixture of experience in restructuring, insolvency and commercial litigation
- The ability to effectively manage larger matters, develop client relationships and participate in business development activities
- A desire to learn, grow, network, mentor others
