Job details

About the Firm We are pleased to represent a distinguished firm in the Nelson legal market known for its pristine reputation and high-performing team. This opportunity will place you in close collaboration with two of the firm's Partners, offering a unique experience within a tight-knit, family-like culture. As a smaller team, they foster strong, personal connections among colleagues, creating a supportive and friendly work environment. About the Opportunity This role offers the chance to engage in a broad range of practice areas, including civil litigation, employment law, estate litigation, building disputes, debt recovery, and relationship property litigation. For the right candidate, this role also provides a pathway to partnership, offering an excellent opportunity to advance into a leadership position in the near future. You will be working closely with two of the firm's Litigation Partners. While a high degree of autonomy is expected, they are committed to providing guidance and support as you work toward achieving your full potential. This role is ideally suited for an Associate-level candidate; however, the firm is also open to considering candidates with slightly lower PQE who demonstrate strong potential and a keen interest in litigation. About You

  1. Experience: Ideally, you bring 6+ years PQE, though candidates with less experience but strong aptitude and motivation will also be considered.
  2. Litigation Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for litigation and a clear commitment to excelling in this area.
  3. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to advocate effectively and build trust with clients and colleagues.
  4. Interpersonal Abilities: Excellent people skills and the ability to relate well to clients, fostering strong client relationships and providing exceptional service.
  5. Ambition & Drive: A motivated, driven professional eager to take the next step in your career. Your proactive approach and goal-oriented mindset will be valued within this growth-focused environment.
  6. Team Player: While able to work independently, you enjoy collaborating with others, exchanging ideas, and contributing to a collegial team atmosphere.
If you're a dedicated litigator ready to take on a role with significant responsibility and the potential for partnership, this opportunity could be the ideal next step in your career. #J-18808-Ljbffr
