Responsibilities: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of contracts, focusing on store leases, licenses, distribution agreements, marketing, construction, and procurement contracts. Provide legal advice and support across all business units and corporate functions, including business development, retail, and HR teams in different jurisdictions. Stay informed on legal and regulatory developments across relevant regions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, especially privacy regulations. Serve as the main point of contact for all communications and queries with government authorities. Assist the Intellectual Property team with brand protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights as needed. Collaborate with Company HQ to implement and localize global plans, programs, and policies in South East Asia and Oceania. Lead and supervise company secretaries across various entities. Engage and coordinate with external counsel on a case-by-case basis. Oversee and manage litigation, disputes, and customer complaints. Maintain and update the contract database for the region. Qualifications: Bachelor of Law and admission to the Singapore bar. Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in corporate/commercial law. Strong familiarity with privacy laws and regulations, with confidence in advising on privacy matters and the handling of consumer data. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and drafting skills with attention to detail. Great interpersonal skills for engaging both internal and external stakeholders. Strong business acumen, with the ability to assess risk and articulate proposals that balance technical expertise with commercial insights. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks under pressure. Adaptable and skilled in change management within organizational structures. Collaborative team player capable of building relationships with colleagues across various backgrounds, functions, and cultures.
