NUTRI Feeds is one of the leaders in the manufacturing of animal feed in South Africa, we are also a world player and the first choice in animal feeds for poultry, pigs, sheep, dairy and beef cattle. The following vacancy exists within NUTRI FEEDS at Viljoenskroon.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Relevant Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering qualification
  2. Government Certificate of Competency (GCC)
  3. Previously appointed as GMR2.1 (>3000KW)
  4. FMCG experience
  5. GCC Factories related practical work experience post qualification
  6. Proven track record in maintenance of manufacturing & processing plants
  7. Boiler plant/steam system experience and knowledge
  8. Ability to manage engineering department, budget and plant maintenance to optimise plant availability
  9. Valid Driver’s License & willing to travel
  10. Must be able to obtain a Certificate of Medical Fitness

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Overseeing of installation, repair, and upkeep of the Feed Factory (Mechanical & Electrical)
  2. Compiling and manage maintenance and capital budgets
  3. Liaising and mentoring a multi-disciplined maintenance team
  4. Manage and improve the computerized management maintenance system (Pragma)
  5. Initiate and participate in engineering improvement projects
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant labour legislation with specific emphasis on Occupational Health and Safety Act
