$85,000 to $120,000 per annum (pro-rata) + Super The Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service (DYHS) was established in 1974 and is the largest Aboriginal community-controlled health service provider in Western Australia, providing care to over 20,000 Aboriginal patients across four clinics in East Perth, Mirrabooka, Maddington and Midland. Our staff enable the delivery of culturally responsive primary health services, focusing on prevention, early intervention, comprehensive care and care coordination including chronic disease management. - Bachelor or Master degree in Occupational Therapy (Essential)
- Proven experience in paediatric occupational therapy, particularly with neurodevelopmental disorders including FASD, ASD and Global Development Disorders.
- Demonstrated understanding of and sensitivity of cultural issues affecting Aboriginal communities.
- Experience in case management support to vulnerable families with complex issues that is child focused, family centred and trauma-informed.
- Proficiency in using healthcare databases particularly Communicare.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Strong commitment to and respect for Aboriginal culture and community values.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- High level of professional integrity, accountability and ethical standards.
- Must have valid Work with Children Check
- Recent Police Clearance certificate
- Must have full registration as an Occupational Therapist as recognised by AHPRA registration
