Average assignment durations vary from a minimum of 2 to 6 weeks. The work you will do: Consult with physicians and the Health Center Charge Nurse to work within an expanded scope of practice providing healthcare services to pre-natal and adult patients for trauma and primary care, including delivery of newborns, treating minor acute illnesses and injuries, and conducting general treatment clinics Apply the nursing process utilizing the skills of observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching according to the established care plan. Ensure that, on an ongoing basis, the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent within the scope of practice Utilize strong assessment skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, and proven ability to effectively communicate to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent format Why Bayshore? Enjoy fully paid & planned travel assignments while doing what you love Receive highly competitive compensation packages, reimbursements & incentives Receive a comprehensive orientation and thorough training package Continual learning and professional development Diverse assignments with flexible schedules that fit with your life to ensure a work-life balance 24/7 support from a caring and dedicated team who welcomes you from your first day Travel and accommodation arranged by our dedicated travel concierge team Job Qualification Who You Are: You are a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and have a nursing license through the governing body in good standing You have or are willing to obtain a regulatory license in Ontario with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) Mandatory skillsets and additional training requirements and reimbursements will be discussed during interview At least 3000 hours or two (2) years of full-time experience within the past three (3) years in acute/critical care nursing activities in the: Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, or in an acute care setting OR (3000 hours) two (2) years full-time within the past five (5) years working in remote, isolated or semi-isolated communities as a Community Health Nurse OR (3,000 hours) two (2) years full-time of Regular Work experience in the past five (5)years, of which 500 hours must have occurred within the past 12 months, performing nursing services in primary care and advanced clinical assessments. This experience must be obtained in the emergency, intensive care unit or in community settings such as health care centres (e.g. urgent care centre, quick care centre) We appreciate and thank all applicants.
