The role: Wamarra has forged a successful track record of delivering varying infrastructure works in VIC, and as we enter NSW to take on some exciting work, we are seeking a Project Engineer to join and head up our delivery team. We have a steady stream of upcoming work in the Riverina region of NSW, and we are looking for a Project Engineer who is flexible in being able to travel and work away regionally. This role will form part of a greater strategy, in that you will become a key leader in steering and growing our NSW business as we progress and evolve, and this role will pave the way for you to step up and lead our NSW business. Your impact: Your experience will ensure that Wamarra delivers key projects on time, on budget, and as safely as possible. Your every day:
- Coordinating and administering construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications.
- Participating in monthly financial reviews and providing cost forecasts against budgets to understand cost to complete.
- Leading and supporting a strong safety culture.
- Managing the construction program and implementing mitigating measures to keep the program on track.
- Demonstrating financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years relevant civil construction experience.
- Have a sound understanding of typical construction specifications used in the Australian construction industry.
- Driver's license and own transport.
