Type: Permanent Hours: Full time Location: Auckland/Wellington Business Group: Regulatory Services Branch: Regulation and Policy Salary: $94,499 - $117,598 We are looking for an experienced accountant to join our Complex Licensing team for Gambling at Te Tari Taiwhenua - Department of Internal Affairs. Our work in Toi Hiranga - Regulatory Services, Gambling, enables us to deliver community wellbeing through reducing gambling related harms and promoting compliance. As one of our Senior Regulatory Accountants, you will be part of a small team providing accounting advice and financial analysis for our regulatory activities. You'll also be working across our Operational teams to build our capability of accounting principles and practice. Holding a Chartered Accountant qualification is a mandatory requirement for the role. If you have over 5 years of experience behind you and are interested in applying your expertise in an operational setting with the following skills, we'd love to hear from you.
  • Ability to interpret and apply legislation.
  • Expertise in completing risk-based financial analysis and writing reports.
  • Experience in completing financial audits.
  • Experience in regulation and compliance.
  • Passion for your work and a willingness to learn.
