_*NOTE: This is an independent consultant position for contract work with a Kyndryl client and is not a direct staff position with Kyndryl.*_*Position:* Senior iSeries Specialist *Client:* Financial Services Client *Location: *Remote *Duration:* 2 months *Language:* English *Background:* Our valued Financial Services Client is seeking a Senior iSeries specialist for a short term contract to assist in managing their IBM iSeries platform, this includes system management, patching, compliance remediation, supporting DRP testing, and Disaster recover planning documentation and support. This contract will not be extended and is expected to involve full time hours from 8:00AM-5:00PM EST. *Qualifications:*● 10+ years of experience with IBM iSeries *Responsibilities could entail:*● Execute service requests. ● Change Management. ● Compliance Remediation. ● Quarterly patching for iSeries devices. ● Firmware and microcode updates. ● System management - OS File system management (Mount point Availability, LUN/Volume groups allocation/deallocation etc..). ● File & Print Management. ● Restart filed processes and applications. ● Recovery from storage, hardware and OS problems. ● Cluster / HA Management. ● Perform maintenance on disk environment. ● Provide RCA for owned problem tickets. ● Support TD’s annual DRP testing. ● Maintain operational and technical documents. ● Perform minor software updates. ● Integrated iSeries Database Support. ● Upgrade tools Sequel suite & Powertech Antivirus ● DR Planning Documentation and Support Job Type: Fixed term contract Contract length: 2 months Pay: $50.00-$80.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Monday to Friday Experience: * iSeries: 8 years (required) Work Location: Remote Application deadline: 2025-01-17 Expected start date: 2025-01-20
