This is an exceptional opportunity for a self-motivated and passionate Property & Development Lawyer to join the Melbourne office of a long-standing and highly regarded Victorian Law Firm servicing Melbourne, the surf coast and South Australia. About this role... As part of an established Property law practice, you will be responsible for providing legal advice in relation to a variety of Property & Development matters, e.g., Sales & Acquisitions, Retirement Villages, Off-The-Plan, and land developments advising public and private clients from property developers, owners corporations, tenants, farmers, trustees, and more. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clients with a wide range of property law matters including Adverse possession, Duties, GST and CGT withholding, Land tax, Owners Corporation, and Land development including subdivisions, covenants, and easements.
- Building and growing the practice further through networking and marketing initiatives.
- Mentoring those less experienced around you.
- Circa 7+ years post admission Property law experience.
- A self-starter with a friendly, pro-active team approach.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong client service focus.
- The ability to multi-task and prioritize to manage competing priorities & timelines.
- Able & willing to share your expertise/mentor less experienced colleagues.
- A keen sense of commerciality.
