Senior Business Development Manager / Head of Sales Location: Flexible within the UK Reporting to: Sales Director / Founding Team Compensation: £85,000 – £100,000 base salary, OTE up to £150,000 – £200,000 (inclusive of performance incentives). About the Role This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape Engineering Insights' expansion into the UK market. We’re seeking a Senior Business Development Manager with proven expertise in selling IT services , such as consulting, managed services, or digital transformation solutions. Your mission is to grow our footprint by targeting:
- Mid-sized, fast-growing tech companies scaling rapidly

- Develop and execute a UK go-to-market strategy, focusing on IT service sales and digital transformation opportunities.
- Build a £1m invoiced / £2m committed revenue pipeline in year one; target a £3m+ run rate by year two.
- Cultivate relationships with senior stakeholders, such as CTOs and VPs of Engineering, offering tailored solutions for their business needs.
- Refine the UK market strategy, ensuring alignment with Engineering Insights’ high-quality, senior-led consulting approach.
- Lay the foundation for future sales and support teams while improving client onboarding and delivery processes.
- A strong background in IT services , consulting, or digital transformation sales (not SaaS).
- Proven success in enterprise or mid-market B2B sales, managing long sales cycles, and closing six-figure enterprise deals.
- Experience navigating complex sales cycles, engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A consultative selling approach with a track record of building relationships at senior levels, including technical leaders and board members.
- Self-motivated, with a “hunter” mentality, and the ability to thrive independently in a remote-first environment.
- Sales experience in boutique IT services or consulting firms.
- Familiarity with core industries like RegTech, MedTech, or public sector IT solutions.
- Prior leadership experience in building or managing sales teams.
- Year 1: Achieve a £2m revenue run rate and secure 3–5 strategic client agreements.
- Year 2: Scale to a £3-4m run rate, build a strong sales pipeline, and establish a scalable UK sales structure.
- Up to £100k base salary (depending on experience), with uncapped earning potential through performance incentives.
