About the Role Due to continued growth of the business, we are currently looking for a highly motivated Injury Management Coordinator to join Contract Resources based in Jandakot, Perth. You will be required to manage work and non-work-related injuries, ensuring early intervention and smooth return-to-work processes. Reporting to the HSE Lead, your role will be essential to our proactive health and safety approach, helping us build enduring value and certainty through exceptional care and support. Duties will include but not limited to
- Oversee all aspects of injury and claims management ensuring compliance with relevant state legislation and effective claims processing.
- Coordinate and monitor injury management in line with return-to-work policies, aligning with all legislative requirements.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on workers' compensation claims, facilitating clear communication and efficient claim resolution.
- Collaborate with the HSE&T team and internal partners to provide expert guidance on injury management strategies, offering regular feedback and updates to key stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate injury management records, file notes, and ensure the Injury Management database is current.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and medical interventions for remote site injuries to support optimal recovery outcomes.
- Stay informed of legislative changes and best practices in injury management to uphold Contract Resources compliance standards.
- Be available for after-hours calls and emergency callouts as required.
- Travel to remote sites to meet with stakeholders, deliver training, and provide coaching on Injury Management, Injury Prevention, and health awareness.
- Partner with the HSE Leads and General Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive Workplace Injury Management program, focused on Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Health & Wellness to promote early intervention and reduce risks for CR employees.
- Preferred backgrounds include Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, or Occupational Therapy.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in workplace injury management, with a thorough understanding of workers' compensation legislation and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to offer specialist advice on injury management and navigate Injury Management Databases.
- Mining & Resources Sector Experience: Previous experience in the Mining & Resources Sector highly desirable.
- Strong communication, consultation, and influencing skills to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Keen observation and analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrates integrity, discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality.
- Effective time and case management skills, with strong planning and prioritisation abilities to meet deadlines.
- Valid Driver's License
