Our client in the public sector seeks an APS 6 Team Leader, Performance and Conduct for a non-ongoing contract of up to 12 months.
- Hourly rate of $65 - $69.50 P / H plus super
- Up to 12 months contract

- Provide Guidance: Be the first point of contact for performance and conduct matters, offering support to managers and employees.
- Manage Complex Cases: Handle end-to-end performance management, conduct, and employment matters in line with APS legislation and policies.
- Drive Performance Development: Coordinate the Performance Development Plan process, providing operational and strategic guidance across the organisation.
- Build Manager Capability: Design and implement initiatives that coach and enable supervisors to improve people management.
- Develop Communications: Draft reports, briefing papers, and correspondence, contributing to operational improvements.
- Collaborate & Influence: Build effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to strategic HR planning.
- Lead Projects: Deliver key HR projects in alignment with the broader HR work plan.
- Maintain Records: Ensure accurate and consistent record-keeping across all HR matters.
- Exceptional Communication: Convey complex information clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally.
- Strong Relationship Building: Develop positive working relationships at all levels, with stakeholders and team members.
- Proven Experience: Have a background in managing complex employment matters and a solid understanding of APS performance management.
- Conflict Resolution: Manage difficult conversations with a focus on positive outcomes and maintaining professional relationships.
- Adaptability: Be flexible, managing competing priorities and changing work environments with ease.

- Desirable: Relevant HR qualifications or experience working within the APS, though not essential.

- Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
- Employment is subject to pre-employment checks, including a police history check.
