- A commitment to promoting and preserving Aboriginal culture and values.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related field.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated experience in managing expert systems and decision support systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and practical application of project management for software products.
- Proven experience in application development and project management, with a focus on environmental management applications, GIS, or related fields (preferably in the water industry).
- Play a central role in facilitating the development of the water data application roadmap, working closely with stakeholders to define the application visions, strategic priorities, milestones, and feature enhancements.
- Work with the members of the Steering Committee to prioritise and manage the backlog of tasks, maintaining a well-defined and groomed list of features, enhancements, and user stories.
- Monitor and report on the progress of program of works, identify dependencies, risks, and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
- Solicit and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to enhance the application's functionality and relevance. Collaborate closely with user groups and subject matter experts to understand operational needs and translate them into actionable development tasks.
- Manage change with the ongoing product development, including identifying training and resource gaps, risks and opportunities, and facilitating improvements.
