How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:

• Leading a team of Systems Engineers
• Coordinating with the Product Heads to release System Level design artifacts to the Engineering Departments
• Conducting impact assessments and facilitating Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) produced by the Configuration Control Board (CCB)
• Auditing Systems Engineering reviews produced by the Engineering Departments to ensure high quality standards are met and to collate into updated System Level design artifacts
• Supporting the Product Heads in ensuring that program objectives are on-schedule and on budget
• Supporting the development of Engineering Management Processes and Tools
• Ensuring that engineering activities are conducted and documented in accordance with Gilmour Space policies, plans and procedure
• Other duties as requested by Management

Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or a relevant qualification
• Junior Lead: 2+ years of engineering experience (excluding internships)
• Senior Lead: 5+ years of engineering experience (excluding internships)
• Senior Lead: Maintains or is eligible for CPENG and RPEQ
• In-depth understanding of Traditional and Modern Systems Engineering practices
• Proven ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environments
• Demonstrated resilience in high-stress situations
• NV1 Security Clearance eligible
• Compliance with the Defence Trade Controls Amendment Act 2024

Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Formal Systems Engineering Training
• 2+ years of design engineering experience
• 5+ years of System Engineering experience
• 5+ years working in the aerospace industry
• Familiarity with the principles of Model Based Systems Engineering
• Familiarity with modern web-based PLM and MRP Software solutions
• In-depth experience with industry standard Systems Engineering Standards (Nasa Systems Engineering Handbook, ECSS, INCOSE, SEBoK, etc.)
• Understanding of Web Development fundamentals
