We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented FP&A Analyst to join our team part time. Reporting to the COO/CFO, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making processes. For the right candidate, there is also the opportunity for progression to a full time role. Examples of your responsibilities can be found below. Daily Tasks:
- Review and analyze financial transactions for accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with the finance team to monitor and reconcile financial data.
- Assist in maintaining and updating financial models to support forecasting and budgeting.
- Provide support for ad hoc financial analysis and inquiries.
- Enhance and update budget spreadsheets to create clear, presentable formats for stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain pulse check reports to compare actual results against forecasts on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Work with the Accountant to map Xero P&L line items to budget categories and ensure accurate reporting.
- Create and refine cash flow forecasts using financial institution transaction data, Xero exports, and liaising with senior key stakeholders, to align cashflow format with budget projections.
- Build scenario modeling tools to analyse key business drivers such as churn rates and subscriber growth.
- Assist with the preparation and review of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Support year-end close processes and assist with audits.
- Create a comprehensive plan, including category mapping, to facilitate potential system transitions.
- 2-3 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or a similar role.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, with strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Familiarity with Xero or similar accounting software; Netsuite experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- A proactive team player with a problem-solving mindset.
- Experience with Australian financial regulations and tax laws is an advantage.
