As an Infrastructure Solution Designer at Optus, you’ll be at the forefront of designing secure, resilient platforms to protect and enhance our network infrastructure. This role emphasizes firewall management, security, monitoring, and platform solutions to safeguard critical systems and optimise network performance. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect, implement, and maintain robust security frameworks that adapt to emerging threats and ensure reliable, secure connectivity. Your day in the life as an Infrastructure Solution Designer:

• Architect and implement firewall and security solutions to safeguard our network infrastructure and data.
• Collaborate with teams to design and deploy monitoring platforms, ensuring proactive issue detection and quick response.
• Evaluate and optimize platform configurations, aligning with security protocols and performance goals.
• Work closely with stakeholders to integrate security requirements into infrastructure projects and solutions.
• Lead the setup and management of secure platforms, enhancing both network protection and operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular reviews of monitoring systems to refine alert settings and enhance incident response effectiveness.

Experience required:

• Proven experience in designing and implementing firewall and network security solutions.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, monitoring systems, and platform management tools.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing security-focused infrastructure projects in complex environments.
• Familiarity with network protocols, intrusion detection, and threat monitoring systems.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices into infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in configuring and optimizing platforms for both secure access and high performance.
• Experience in DNS will be highly regarded.
