MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Please note if you are an internal employee on a fixed term contract please apply using an external candidate profile and not your employee profile This internship role is for a 12 - 24 month period (fixed term contract) and will include a study component. This developmental opportunity is structured to incorporate academic, professional, and personal skills development, with a primary focus on business process analysis and improvement. It enables the intern to integrate knowledge gained through their tertiary studies with the competencies made available through actual experience in a professional work setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

As a graduate, you will be given exposure to the following key areas of operation:

1. Business process mapping, analysis, and improvement
2. Business requirements gathering and management
3. Data gathering, manipulation, analysis, modelling and reporting
4. Multi-disciplinary team collaboration
5. Documentation, presentation, communication and project coordination skills

In addition, you will be exposed to project management and business process efficiency management within a Business performance environment. You could also provide project administration support to the assigned Project Manager(s) in the successful execution and delivery of projects as well as additional administrative support for the assigned teams in business development or business improvement within the business performance team.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:

1. A Tertiary qualification in the field of process related engineering (Industrial Engineering Degree) (B.Eng. or B.Sc.Eng) is essential

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

1. The intention of this internship role is to gain experience working within a business performance and Enterprise Project Office (EPO) environment, therefore no specific project experience will be required.

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

1. Process mapping and improvement
2. Data gathering and analysis
3. Data visualisation and communication
4. Project coordination and management
5. Knowledge of Process management principles
6. Computer skills in Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and SharePoint, Power BI
7. Demonstrate basic proficiency in data management and analytics
8. Understanding of Project Management methodologies
9. Knowledge of and competence in quality improvement methodologies and aspects of cost management
