Location: Johannesburg, Cresta Job Summary: As a Tour Agent / Travel Agent with managerial experience within their internal office, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with planning and booking their dream African adventures. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Consultation: Engage with clients via phone, email, or in-person meetings to understand their travel preferences, interests, and budget constraints.
  2. Tailored Itinerary Planning: Utilize your knowledge of African destinations, attractions, and activities to create customized tour itineraries that align with clients' interests and requirements.
  3. Booking Coordination: Handle all aspects of booking arrangements, ensuring accuracy and timely confirmation.
  4. Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the booking process, providing updates and addressing any concerns.
  5. Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest travel trends and industry news to offer informed recommendations.
  6. Documentation and Administration: Prepare all necessary travel documents and ensure compliance with company policies.
  7. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams to optimize tour offerings and enhance service delivery.
  8. Customer Feedback: Solicit feedback from clients post-travel to assess satisfaction levels and gather testimonials.
  9. Crisis Management: Handle unforeseen travel disruptions or emergencies that may arise during clients' trips.
  10. Promotion of Sustainable Tourism: Educate clients on the importance of responsible travel practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the travel industry.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in travel booking systems and software.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Passion for travel and appreciation for African culture.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
  • Commitment to promoting sustainable tourism practices.
