SOFTWARE ENGINEER CLOUD CLOUDPILOTS | Location Berlin, Cologne or Home Office As a Software Engineer* Cloud, you act as a technical contact person and analyze existing systems, define migration strategies, and take over the setup and customization of the cloud environment for our customers. You help to master technical and organizational challenges when switching to the Google Cloud and train the various teams in how to deal with them. Your daily business is to optimize and automate the cloud infrastructure for the customer so that the operation of network, virtual machines, containers, or other cloud technologies becomes even easier. Your Role You will be responsible for the implementation of cloud infrastructures and systems in the areas of identity and access management, network, server operation, and monitoring. You will also provide support in automation via IaC (Terraform) or by creating CI/CD pipelines to bring applications to life. You will also be responsible for implementing hybrid system architectures. You train our customers on cloud technologies by creating concepts and supporting their implementation. You contribute your ideas to the development of proof of concepts. What You Should Bring With You You have a degree or training in the field of computer science, mathematics, or similar. You already have experience in infrastructure operations (ideally in cloud technologies), network technology, or in the field of security and initial contact with the areas of automation and container technologies. Open source projects, ideally with Kubernetes, are not new territory for you. You are business fluent in German and English and have a confident manner in customer contact. As a team player, you are reliable and contribute to a positive working atmosphere. This Also Sets You Apart: You enjoy supporting the customer directly on site. You have strong communication skills and a confident manner when working with customers, your team, and partner companies. You have sufficient written and spoken English skills.
