The Contract Administrator / Buyer will be responsible for assisting the General Counsel with the review of commercial contracts. In addition, this position will lead the efforts in sourcing and procurement of raw materials to meet customer and business requirements. POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Contracts Administrator Job Duties:
- Assist with the review and approval of commercial contracts such as NDA's
- Review contract terms and conditions to verify that they are in compliance with company policies and all applicable country regulations.
- Assist with contract management and document control. Organize and maintain legal documents in paper or electronic filing system.
- Provide administrative legal support for General Counsel as needed
- Research and interview suppliers to obtain prices and specifications of raw materials needed
- Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for material goods
- Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices
- Negotiate and administer contracts with suppliers and vendors
- Compile and maintain records of items purchased. Assist in reconciling variances
- Search inventory records or warehouse to determine if material on hand is in sufficient quantity to meet order requirements
- Communicate with suppliers concerning follow up of late deliveries, expedited deliveries and material defects
- Complete cycle counts and physical inventory on a regular basis
- Other duties as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position
- Associate's Degree in Legal, Business or similar field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
- Two or more years prior Legal experience working directly with contract law, Purchasing, Sourcing or Procurement or in similar roles in either corporate or firm environment
- Knowledge of legal terminology and standard formats and procedures
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat, Excel and Word
- Ability to collaborate and work well with internal and external stakeholders including operations, business development, compliance, legal, regulatory and administrative personnel
- Excellent analytical, organization and negotiation skills, as well as initiative to work independently
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptive and the ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

- Results-driven with a strong sense of urgency
