OPPORTUNITIES IN KUWAIT - IMMEDIATE / JAN 25 – ELEMENTARY / PRIMARY TEACHERS GRADES 2 and 4 - fixed positions Floating Positions Available: there are 8 unassigned positions from Grade 1 to 5, but it is highly likely that a fixed grade assignment will happen on arrival. Due to their size and diverse needs, this school hires several ‘float’ teachers in anticipation of new classes opening up due to expansion and/or reallocation of teachers. Float teachers may not initially have an assigned class and will instead act as in-house substitutes and/or learning support and/or administrative support until a class opens up. This means that they may have low contact time at first. When a suitable class becomes available, they have the benefit of knowing the school, the children, and the culture, so it’s a good opportunity for teachers to ease their way into international teaching while getting a full teacher’s salary and benefits throughout their employment, regardless of their day-to-day assignment.
