Finance Manager

Your new company This renewable energy company specialises in the solar sector, providing clean energy to its consumers in Malaysia. Your new role As the Finance Manager, you will be tasked with:

1. Review the complete set of accounts, including supporting accounting schedules prepared by the executive.
2. Analyze financial statements and data, reporting financial performance by comparing actual results, financial KPIs, and ratios with historical data, forecasts, and projections.
3. Coordinate with external auditors and tax agents on all related matters.
4. Assist with corporate exercises undertaken by the Group and handle corporate secretarial matters.
5. Validate information and inputs in monthly reports to ensure accuracy.
6. Help with preparing budgets and forecasts.
7. Manage all tax-related matters.
8. Evaluate project investment returns, monitor project budgets, and conduct analysis.
9. Perform analytical reviews of financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and trend analysis.
10. Handle treasury functions, including securing trade lines, managing borrowings, planning cash flow, and forecasting reports, while ensuring compliance with financial covenants.
11. Manage risk, establish or refine internal controls, and improve processes.

What you'll need to succeed To succeed in the role, you will need to possess:

1. Professional Qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW or equivalent), along with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. Minimum 5-6 years of working experience in Accounting or Finance field, preferably from Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, Construction or Property Development sectors.
3. Previous experience in auditing is an added advantage.
4. Experience in project financing is highly preferable.
5. Excellent communication and written English skills.
6. Self-resilient and able to work in a fast-paced and aggressive environment.
