Job Summary: The Lead Auto Technician is responsible for overseeing vehicle repair and maintenance activities, diagnosing complex issues, and ensuring the quality of services delivered. This role includes supervising a team of technicians, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks meet manufacturer specifications and quality standards.
- Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to confirm proper functioning.
- Supervise and mentor a team of auto technicians, providing technical guidance and support.
- Assign tasks based on skill levels and job requirements, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and improvements.
- Inspect completed repairs to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work for audit and reporting purposes.
- Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition and properly calibrated.
- Communicate with customers to explain repair needs, timelines, and costs.
- Address customer concerns promptly, ensuring a positive service experience.
- Provide expert advice on vehicle maintenance to help customers avoid future issues.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure the workshop complies with health and safety regulations.
- Keep up-to-date with automotive industry standards, tools, and best practices.
- Participate in continuous professional development to remain current with new vehicle technologies.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Automotive Technical Certification or Degree preferred).
- Minimum of 05 Years of experience as an Auto Technician, with at least 03 Years in a supervisory or lead role.
