DPW Manager (Fire Protection Inspector)

Job Description: Provides fire inspection services within assigned area of responsibility. Inspects fire protection devices, systems and procedures to ensure proper operation and compliance with applicable standards and requirements. Plans, schedules, and conducts training programs for all functional areas of the Fire/Security Section. Maintains training reference files, directives, office instructions, lesson plans, training aids, and training records. Responds to emergencies, evaluates operational procedures, acts as safety officer, assists with rescue, fire suppression and overhaul when directed. May function as a firefighter to supplement existing personnel when required. As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.
