DescriptionReporting to the Director of Warehouse and Logistics, this individual will lead the Indirect Operations for the region. This person will direct, manage, and coordinate all aspects of the Warehouse, Transportation, Inventory, and Indirect Operations for the region. This person will lead a team of front-line leaders in a fast-paced operation while being the conduit between Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service, Systems, Sales, Customers, and Vendors.ResponsibilitiesEnsure safe operations of responsible area.Ensure business compliance for area of responsibility.Ensure customer/vendor contract requirements are administered and enforced.Maximize the performance of the operation through KPI creation and continuous improvement work.Execute the business's concept of operations through organization and communications.Work cross-functionally with various departments to solve issues that occur and ensure business continuity.Ensure the team has tools to execute the business requirements.Collaborate with vendors to solve business challenges.Effectively communicate and escalate business challenges to supervisor.Take an active leadership role to drive business initiatives.Ensure daily/weekly workload planning is communicated and managed to meet business objectives.Ensure business compliance for DOT requirements.Manage carrier base for improvement opportunities.Accountable for inbound, outbound, and inventory operations for accuracy, efficiency, and overall effectiveness.Accountable for Inventory Control Processes and Cycle Count Program along with leading 3rd party audits.Coordinate between planning, production, and shipping to ensure operational alignment.Assure products, parts, or supplies are received, stored, moved, shipped, distributed, and transacted in a timely and efficient manner.Serve as a technical content expert and build organizational sustainability of process improvement knowledge and strategies in the form of training and implementation of efficient business processes.Lead and manage physical inventories.Work on special projects as directed.Responsible for carrying out company policy and initiatives.RequirementsBachelor's degree preferred.5-10 years of hands-on experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, inventory, manufacturing, or a combination.Experience in warehouse, transportation, and manufacturing environments.Ability to work autonomously in an ambiguous environment seeking to understand business problems, limiting factors, boundaries, and providing solutions.Previous experience with inventory, manufacturing, import/export, and warehouse operations.Functional knowledge of global and domestic supply chain concepts.Strong inventory acumen and experience managing cycle count programs and physical inventories.Strong ERP understanding.Strong MS Suite and analytical skills.Strong time management with the ability to manage various priorities in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge - Skills - AbilitiesKnowledge of manufacturing scheduling/planning.Knowledge of production/warehousing operations both clerical and direct.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.Experience working with ERP systems.Ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines while performing with a high degree of accuracy.Interpersonal skills to collaborate at various technical levels, with individuals in other business functions, and the potential to grow in a career.Must possess strong planning, organization, time management, prioritization, and decision-making skills.Excellent verbal and written communication.Physical RequirementsAbility to work in a chemical manufacturing plant and manage multi-site facilities feeding a single manufacturing site.Occasionally may be required to reach, squat, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.25% travel required.Overtime will be necessary.
