For more information about HAMBS and to explore our current career opportunities, visit: About the Role Due to organisational expansion, we are seeking two Senior Systems Administrators to join our team. You will be responsible for maximising service uptime, maintaining backups/replication, identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving systems problems, ensuring timely recovery of services, and carrying out maintenance tasks. These positions are offered on a 1-year maximum-term contract. Key Responsibilities
- Support the architecture, design, and implementation of new IT systems solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current systems.
- Install, configure, and ensure effective administration of HAMBS systems and hardware including physical and virtual server environments, SQL servers, mail servers, and web servers.
- Provide advice and recommendations for the procurement of IT equipment and support subcontractors involved with installation.
- Assist with managing hardware and software licensing agreements.
- Undertake scheduled upgrades and maintenance work.
- Investigate performance issues and architect resolutions.
- Investigate faults in the system and ensure timely recovery of services.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- High level understanding and application of MS office suite and any other programs/ applications as required, including; Windows 10/11, Windows Server, IIS, VMware, SharePoint, SQL server, and laaS based cloud services.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code toolsets.
- Exposure to DevOps style approaches.
