This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of an initiative to plan and implement automation of operational processes. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive view of the firm's operations, including booking, confirmations, verification, settlements, and failed trade resolution for hedge funds and EAM businesses. What you'll do: As a Senior Fund Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the firm's operations. Your responsibilities will span various aspects of investment operations, from managing relationships with service providers to handling daily trade processing and reconciliation. You will also be involved in fund accounting and client reporting. This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to the planning and implementation of automation initiatives within the firm. Manage and review relationships with service providers such as custodians, brokers, fund administrators, etc. Handle daily trade processing and reconciliation, follow up on settlement issues primarily in equities. Oversee corporate actions and cash flow management, prepare payment instructions to fund and firm vendors. Perform fund accounting (equalization), review daily, weekly, and monthly NAV reports. Assist in fund and firm audits. Provide risk management, compliance & regulatory support. Coordinate new fund launches, liaise with service providers for legal documentation and connecting trading and portfolio systems. Undertake general office administration tasks. What you bring: The ideal candidate for the Senior Fund Operations Manager role brings a wealth of experience in investment operations along with strong leadership skills. You are detail-oriented, resourceful, and proficient in Microsoft Excel. Your understanding of equities and related derivative products sets you apart. You possess excellent communication skills and can comfortably work under tight daily deadlines. Japanese language skills at a business level would be an added advantage. Degree in a relevant course such as Finance, Business, Accounting, or Economics. At least 5 years of experience in any area of investment operations, with some years in a leadership position. Detail-oriented and resourceful approach to work. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Japanese language skills at a business level would be advantageous. Good understanding of equities and related derivative products. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work under tight daily deadlines.
