About the role: Maintains compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products. Works directly with Global Trade Compliance Manager, internal organizations, freight forwarders, and Customs Brokers to facilitate import/export processes in line with all SFDA and other KSA State Institute requirements, with primary focus on Import. Key Responsibilities · Assist with audits Brokers by conducting periodic reviews of brokers' service to ensure quality service and to resolve any problems (e.g., broker visit, compliance, timely clearance). · Expedites difficult shipping situations (e.g., dangerous goods, new product introductions, customs clearance, etc.) to ensure timely delivery. · Works with carriers, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies to identify and resolve Import compliance issues. · Provides training and direction as needed to the Traffic Assistant(s) in the preparation of exports and imports. In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. For those individuals that supervise others, the following statements are applicable: · Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy. · Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System. · Requires basic conceptual and technical knowledge of theories, practices and procedures within own job function · Applies general business knowledge obtained through education or past experience with guidance from others · No supervisory responsibility; accountable for own contributions and meeting objectives with guidance more senior level roles/manager · Solves problems in repeatable situations; uses defined professional concepts and company policies and procedures; analyzes information and standard practices to make judgments · Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles/manager · Contributions are usually limited to task-related activities; works within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines · Exchanges straightforward information, asks questions and checks for understanding · Compiles and organizes data/ information to support discussions and inform decision making Quality System Requirements In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
