Compliance Manager London Permanent £75,000 - £90,000 DOE A leading insurance company is actively looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to join their in-house legal team permanently. This role would see the Compliance Manager work closely with the Head of Legal and Compliance, providing specialist knowledge and solutions on a range of compliance topics and contributing to an overall compliance culture. This role does not involve people management. The successful Compliance Manager will be required to attend the office in London twice a week. The ideal candidate will have experience in a compliance role within financial services. Experience working for an insurance firm would be advantageous. Candidates will ideally have a background involving financial crime and assessing financial sanction risks. As the Compliance Manager, your role will include, but is not limited to;
- Implementing and maintaining a compliant CMS, ensuring appropriate compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Contributing to the further development of the CMS framework
- Performing legal and regulatory change impact analysis, identifying risks and advising stakeholders
- Assist and advise on financial sanctions risks posed across multiple classes of insurance / reinsurance and ensuring compliance with internal standards and legislation
- Support the development of training materials on a range of compliance topics and the wider regulatory environment
- Educated to degree level or qualified by experience
- Professionally qualified as a Chartered Insurer or equivalent qualifications (or making significant progress towards this)
- Professional experience in a generalist compliance role within financial services
- Working knowledge of the practices and expectations of the PRA and FCA
- Understanding of the FCA Business standards PRIN, SYSC, SUP, COBS, ICOBS, RPPD,PROD, COCON
- Experience in assessing financial sanctions queries relating to complex (re)insurance coverages and via delegated outsourcing arrangements
- Experience of maintaining an effective outsourcing framework ideally around delegated underwriting authorities and multi layered distribution channels
