Responsibilities: Data Architecture Design:
- Develop and maintain the enterprise data architecture for healthcare systems, ensuring it aligns with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Create and document data models, data dictionaries, and data flow diagrams.
- Implement and enforce data governance policies and practices, ensuring data security, privacy, and compliance with healthcare industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Design and oversee the integration of various healthcare data sources, including Electronic Health Records (EHR), claims data, patient data, and other healthcare-related data.
- Establish data quality standards and processes to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of healthcare data.
- Implement master data management strategies to maintain critical data entities.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to provide the necessary data infrastructure and support for analytics and reporting projects.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their suitability for healthcare data management, ensuring optimal use of tools, platforms, and databases.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, data science, healthcare professionals, and executives, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with data architecture.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, data models, and integration processes.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science).
- Proven experience as a Data Architect, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with DBT, Python and AWS, GCP, Azure Cloud is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare data standards, such as HL7, ICD-10, CPT, and SNOMED.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance, including HIPAA.
- Proficiency in data modeling tools, database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL), and ETL processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and cloud-based data solutions.
- Knowledge of relevant data architecture best practices and industry trends.
- Ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data quality.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing healthcare technology and data landscape.
