Role Overview The Chief Financial Officer will be a core member of the executive leadership team, driving financial strategies to ensure sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and profitability. The CFO will lead initiatives such as the creation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), execution of long-term strategies, and preparation for future opportunities, including a potential Initial Public Offering (IPO). The role includes overseeing Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Financial Controls, Financial Operations, Compliance, Audit, Legal & Company Secretary (CS), Supply Chain, SAP implementation, and strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategy & Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
- Develop and execute the AOP in alignment with strategic goals.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to implement long-term business strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Analyze market trends, benchmarks, and internal metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Drive forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes.
- Develop financial models and dashboards to track business performance and key metrics.
- Provide insights for data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and treasury operations.
- Optimize working capital to support business growth.
- Manage tax planning and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Implement stringent financial controls to protect company assets.
- Lead internal, statutory, and risk audits to maintain transparency and governance.
- Develop risk management frameworks and ensure compliance with audit recommendations.
- Partner with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutes and regulations across the value chain.
- Oversee legal affairs, including contracts, disputes, intellectual property, and governance.
- Manage secretarial functions, including board documentation and filings.
- Collaborate with sourcing and merchandising teams to enhance distribution efficiency.
- Develop mechanisms for inventory and logistics management to improve scalability and reduce waste.
- Spearhead ERP implementation to streamline operations, reporting, and analytics.
- Ensure seamless ERP adoption across business units and upskill teams for enhanced productivity.
- Lead structuring and compliance for IPO readiness.
- Partner with investment bankers, legal teams, and consultants.
- Establish financial reporting and governance practices to attract investors.
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 18+ years in financial leadership roles, ideally in the retail sector.
- Proven expertise in developing AOPs, strategy execution, and achieving financial objectives.
- Experience with SAP implementation and IPO preparation.
- Exposure to international markets and compliance is advantageous.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, SAP, and analytics tools.
- Deep knowledge of retail financial metrics and profitability optimization.
- Strong expertise in taxation, regulatory frameworks, and governance.
