- Expertise in API design, deployment, monitoring, and retirement.
- Familiarity with API protocols like REST, GraphQL and SOAP.
- Experience with API management tools such as AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management, or Mulesoft.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices-based architectures.
- Knowledge of API security mechanisms (OAuth2.0, JWT, API keys, TLS) and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, and API testing frameworks. Main Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of product managers, providing guidance on product strategy, prioritization, and execution.
- Collaborate with engineering, UX, sales, and marketing teams to guide the delivery of high-quality SaaS products.
- Define and oversee product roadmaps, ensuring understanding of Avalara's our goals and market opportunities.
- Ensure that product teams on user needs, collecting and acting on customer feedback to improve product experience.
- Track product performance through Indicators, using data to improve.
- Foster a culture of innovation and accountability within the product management team.
