Position Overview: The IT Support Intern/Trainee will assist in maintaining and troubleshooting IT systems, providing technical support to staff, and managing IT infrastructure. This role involves diagnosing hardware and software issues, setting up new equipment, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of IT services. The candidate will be expected to learn hands-on, supporting the team with various tasks and contributing to the improvement of the organization's IT systems and user experience. The position offers growth potential in IT support and service management. Experience: 0 to 1 year of any similar experience is preferred Roles & Responsibilities:
- Respond to and resolve basic hardware and software issues.
- Assist in network configuration and monitoring.
- Install and update applications and operating systems.
- Support end-users with technical issues.
- Document processes and maintain accurate records of assets, issues and resolutions.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of IT systems, hardware, and software.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and provide effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Clear communication, both written and verbal, to assist users.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in following processes, troubleshooting, and reporting.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work well within a team and support various IT initiatives.
- Advanced IT Knowledge: In-depth understanding of networks, servers, databases, and security protocols.
- Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple issues simultaneously.
- Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills for handling user requests effectively.
- IT Troubleshooting Tools: Familiarity with remote support tools and diagnostic software.
