The Opportunity
Our technology strategy is based on the MACH principles of microservices, API first, cloud, and headless. We are looking for an Engineering Manager with the highest level of hands-on technical and leadership skills, and a passion for building impactful teams and driving technical excellence. You will lead a development team within our technology organisation where your technical knowledge combined with your people management, and delivery skills ensure we complete our deliveries on time.Responsibilities
- Work with and provide day-to-day leadership and support to an engineering team responsible for developing/delivering key features within its domain.
- Work with engineering and product leaders to drive close collaboration within the global teams.
- Drive execution to ensure that projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Collaborate across functions to support planning and road-map prioritization.
- Anticipate technical challenges and define strategy through long-term planning.
- Continuously strive to introduce improvements and innovations to the team.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading and running technical teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
- Experience building and maintaining 24x7 production-critical systems.
- Deep technical knowledge with a history of solving complex problems. Adept at identifying and solving security, scaling, resilience, and consistency challenges.
- Experience in e-commerce is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of development stack advantages: C#, WebApi, .NET Core, Kafka, Kubernetes, Microservices, Cosmos DB, Azure.
- Experience in Domain Driven Design, software design patterns and modern SDLC methodology, such as CI/CD, testing and release approaches.
- Proficient in Test Driven Development working within an Agile SCRUM team.
- Intellectual curiosity, learning agility, and passion for solving tough problems.
- Outstanding communication skills required – primarily the ability to communicate ideas.
