Position Overview As an Outside Sales Representative , you will be responsible for driving new business, developing relationships, and closing deals within the small to medium business market across the UK. This role requires a high level of expertise in selling both enterprise software solutions and merchant services. You will combine your knowledge of payment processing systems with your ability to sell sophisticated software solutions, targeting key decision-makers, providing them with tailored solutions, and delivering exceptional service from start to finish. You will engage with new and existing clients, leveraging your network to uncover opportunities and convert leads into closed deals. This role requires you to be self-motivated and independent, yet able to collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation of solutions for your clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage existing relationships: Build on your established network of industry connections and past client relationships to quickly convert opportunities and drive sales. Your ability to tap into these relationships will be pivotal in accelerating the sales process and delivering value to new and existing clients.
- Engage with potential clients both remotely (inside sales) and through in-person meetings (outside sales) depending on the region. Traveling as necessary to build relationships and close deals.
- Conduct detailed needs assessments with clients to understand their business goals, pain points, and technology requirements, offering tailored solutions that combine both enterprise software and merchant services.
- Present tailored solutions : Demonstrate how SpacePointe's products can help businesses streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve customer experiences.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, becoming their trusted advisor for payment processing and software solutions.
- Negotiate and close contracts , ensuring clients fully understand the scope of our products and services. Provide clear explanations of contract terms and ensure proper documentation is completed.
- Manage the sales pipeline , consistently following up on leads and moving prospects through the sales cycle. Keep detailed records of sales activities and interactions using CRM software.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless implementation and onboarding experience for new clients. Work closely with customer support, production, and technical teams to ensure that all customer requirements are met and that they experience a smooth transition from sales to active use.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and best practices to continuously improve sales strategies and product knowledge. Use insights from the market to identify new opportunities and refine sales pitches.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to increase visibility, generate leads, and build relationships with potential clients.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in selling enterprise software solutions and merchant services, specifically to small and medium-sized businesses.
- Proven success in converting relationships into sales : Leverage your portfolio and past experience to drive immediate results. A demonstrated ability to build strong client partnerships and convert leads will be crucial.
- Strong understanding of payment processing systems, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and integrated software solutions.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and growing a client base within the software and merchant services sectors.
- Experience building and managing a sales pipeline , from lead generation to closing deals.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills , with the ability to build relationships and present solutions effectively to decision-makers.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization.
- Comfortable with both field sales (in-person meetings, client visits, and regional travel) and remote work (when not meeting clients).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically when identifying client needs and offering solutions.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for tracking and managing leads, opportunities, and sales metrics.
- Base Salary of £30,000 , with uncapped commissions , lifetime residuals , and portfolio equity . High performers can expect to earn £90,000 to £105,000+ in their first year, with the potential for significant earnings based on performance.
