Quality Assurance Engineer - REMOTE - InsurTech Accelerant is building a new platform that will serve as the backbone of how risk is exchanged in the future. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to join the SaaS Platform development team. As a Software QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of our platform. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality, a strong business and user focus, and be an advocate for quality assurance best practices. If you join our team, these are some of thing you’ll be doing:
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and testing procedures to identify defects and ensure product quality.
- Review and provide feedback on code, architecture, and product requirements.
- Help debug, investigate and perform root cause analysis of the defects.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks and ensure high-quality product deliveries.
- Develop, maintain automated tests and enhance test coverage using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for improving testing effectiveness using different tools and automation techniques.
- Strong coding ability.
- Desire to learn and grow.
- Minimum of 5 years software testing and test development experience.
- Coding experience in JS, Python, TypeScript. Bash/ Shell scripting.
- Experience with back back-end testing: Node, Docker, Postman, Microservices.
- Experience with end-to-end automation frameworks: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience working with data analytics platforms.
- Working knowledge of RDBMS and SQL.
- Experience in the Insurance industry is nice to have.
