Global Director of Technical Sales & Customer Success About the Opportunity A fast-growing global leader in the cybersecurity industry is seeking a Global Director of Technical Sales & Customer Success to lead its technical sales and customer success functions. This is a pivotal role overseeing Solution Engineers, Technical Support Engineers, and Customer Success Managers to deliver exceptional pre- and post-sales customer experiences. You’ll work closely with sales, product, and R&D teams to shape technical sales strategies, develop customer-specific demonstrations, and ensure your team drives deal success and future customer growth. - Develop and execute scalable technical sales strategies aligned with company goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent customer engagement and seamless technical support.
- Oversee tailored product demos, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical presentations addressing customer pain points.
- Maintain internal systems, including testing/demo environments and customer support platforms.
- Partner with sales teams to identify customer requirements, define solutions, and support RFPs, RFIs, and technical proposals.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to prospects and key accounts, demonstrating the value of the company’s solutions.
- Maintain deep product knowledge and stay informed on SaaS and cybersecurity trends to strengthen your team’s effectiveness.
- Relay customer feedback to inform the product roadmap and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Continuously refine technical sales tools, processes, and resources for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide regular performance insights and reports to senior leadership, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- 7+ years of experience in a technical sales role, including 3–5 years leading global teams in the cybersecurity space.
- Strong background in selling cybersecurity solutions.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and technical sales tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving and consultative selling skills, with a customer-first mindset.
- Fluent English; German skills are a plus.
- Collaborative and adaptable, with experience working across sales, product, marketing, and customer success functions.
