Technology Exploration and Product Engineering

Roles and Responsibilities The incumbent will be responsible for the following:

• Work on development of experiments/exercises suitable for inclusion/betterment of the “Technology Exploration and Product Engineering (TEP)” coursework.
• Assisting faculty, guiding technical staff (non-teaching) and students during laboratory operations.
• Training technical (non-teaching) staff in maintenance and operation of the laboratory equipment with standard safety procedures.
• Identify and organize training programs on new technologies, tools and equipment.
• Assess the overall inventory and prepare a suitable budget for the replenishment of tools equipment and consumables.
• Training/helping students and technical staff in utilising tools and equipment in the process of innovative product development.

Education & Experience

• B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical/EEE/ECE/Instrumentation with 1-3 years of experience.
• Familiarity in usage of sensors and microprocessors is mandatory.
• Proven track record of hands-on work on projects, hackathons, and product development is preferred.
• Exposure to machining operations using basic power tools is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in the usage of 3D Printing and Laser Cutting would be an added advantage.

The candidate is expected to work closely with the faculty and students towards successful implementation of the course work with strict adherence to guidelines and safety measures. The candidate would be given sufficient opportunities to be involved in the development of innovative ideas/products with student engagement.
