Head of Podcast Production

Overview HENI is an international arts technology business working with leading artists and estates across publishing, printmaking, digital, film, and art research. We utilise cutting edge technology and focus on the individual artist and their work, offering art services including printing and reproduction, digital management, events, mounting, logistics, fine art photography, an online art trading platform, and cryptoart using our NFT ecosystem. The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Head of Podcast Production to establish, develop, and manage our podcast production capabilities. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert with comprehensive knowledge of podcast production, recording technologies, and digital distribution platforms. Key Responsibilities: Studio Development and Management - Design and set up a state-of-the-art podcast recording studio from the ground up - Create technical infrastructure for high-quality audio and video recording - Develop and implement studio operational protocols and best practices - Manage studio equipment inventory and maintenance - Ensure compliance with professional audio and video production standards Technical Production - Execute end-to-end podcast production, including: - Pre-production planning - High-quality audio and video recording - Professional audio and video editing - Post-production sound design and mixing - Manage remote recording setups for guests in different locations - Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain consistent audio/video quality - Develop technical workflows to optimize production efficiency Digital Distribution and Platform Management - Manage distribution across multiple platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, YouTube, Stitcher and any additional emerging podcast platforms. - Optimise podcast metadata for discoverability - Track and analyse podcast performance metrics - Implement strategies to grow audience and engagement Equipment and Technology - Stay current with latest podcasting technologies and recording equipment - Select, configure, and maintain professional recording gear - Design remote recording kits for guests - Develop technical guidelines for remote recording quality - Manage audio/video editing software and tools Guest and Talent Management - Develop technical onboarding process for remote guests - Provide technical support and guidance for guest recordings - Ensure consistent audio quality for in-studio and remote participants - Create equipment usage guides and technical training materials Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of professional podcast or audio/video production experience - Expert-level knowledge of: - Audio recording techniques - Video editing software - Podcast distribution platforms - Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Media Production, or related field an advantage - Proficiency in recording technologies for remote and in-person scenarios - Strong understanding of audio processing and sound design - Experience with multichannel and remote recording setups Technical Skills - Advanced audio editing (Adobe Audition, Logic Pro, Pro Tools)- Video editing (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro)- Remote recording platforms (Zencastr, Riverside.fm, SquadCast)- Audio interfaces and professional microphone technologies - Digital distribution platform APIs and analytics tools Soft Skills - Exceptional problem-solving abilities - Strong communication skills - Creative approach to technical challenges - Detail-oriented with high standards for audio/video quality - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously - Adaptable to rapidly changing media technologies Compensation Competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus potential performance bonuses and cutting-edge technology budget Application Process Interested candidates should submit: - Comprehensive resume - Portfolio of podcast production work If you would like to submit a portfolio separately, please send an email to recruitment@heni.com.
