Job Title: Business Analyst (Banking Background with Power BI and Trade Settlement) Location: Pune Company: Creospan Job Summary: Creospan is seeking a skilled and experienced Business Analyst (BA) with a strong background in banking, expertise in trade settlement processes, and proficiency in Power BI. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring seamless operations, data-driven decision-making, and compliance in trade settlement activities. Key Responsibilities:
- Business Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for trade settlement processes.
- Develop detailed functional specifications and workflows to support system enhancements or new implementations.
- Trade Settlement Expertise:
- Monitor and analyze trade settlement processes to identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies in trade settlements.
- Act as a liaison between business units and operations teams to address trade discrepancies.
- Data Analysis and Reporting (Power BI):
- Create, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports using Power BI for actionable insights.
- Extract and analyze data to identify trends, key metrics, and potential risks in trade settlement.
- Provide recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Facilitate communication between business units, IT teams, and external vendors to align on objectives.
- Conduct regular status meetings and prepare progress reports for stakeholders.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within trade settlement operations.
- Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce processing times.
- Training and Documentation:
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, systems, and reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in business analysis within the banking or financial services industry.
- Proven expertise in trade settlement processes and related compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard creation, data visualization, and report automation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with tools and technologies used in banking and trade settlements (e.g., SWIFT, reconciliation systems).
- Experience in process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Aptitude for learning new systems and adapting to evolving business needs.
