- Design and develop electrical systems using Eplan for industrial projects including control panels power distribution and instrumentation.
- Prepare detailed electrical schematics wiring diagrams and layout drawings in alignment with Electro s design standards.
- Perform load calculations cable sizing and component selection based on specific project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers mechanical engineers and site teams to integrate electrical designs seamlessly into overall project execution.
- Work closely with an AI engineer and follow directions from Electro s managing director to automate and streamline design document processes incorporating AI technology.
- Collaborate remotely with Electro s senior design engineer to ensure consistency and quality in design work while adhering to established project standards.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant electrical standards such as NZS3000:2007 and AS/NZS 3008.1.2:2010.
- Utilise Eplan P8 macros and API runtime to enhance and optimise design workflows.
- Support the procurement of electrical components by providing technical specifications and ensuring compatibility with design requirements.
- Provide technical support during the installation commissioning and testing phases of projects.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of designs modifications and project progress according to company standards.
- Participate in internal and external design reviews incorporate feedback and ensure all client requirements are met.
- Identify and troubleshoot design issues proposing efficient solutions to resolve them.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in electrical design and Eplan technology.
Requirements
What Sets You Apart- Experience: 5 years of electrical design engineering experience in industrial projects particularly in the water/wastewater treatment sector.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Eplan software for electrical design and schematic creation.
- Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering principles including power distribution control systems instrumentation and safety systems.
- Automation & Streamlining: Proven experience collaborating with AI engineers and senior leadership to develop automation solutions and streamline design processes.
- Eplan P8 & API: Proficiency in Eplan P8 macros and API runtime for enhanced design workflows.
- Collaboration: Ability to work remotely with senior engineers and effectively collaborate across multiple teams.
- Standards Compliance: Familiarity with relevant electrical standards including NZS3000:2007 and AS/NZS 3008.1.2:2010.
- ProblemSolving: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to solving electrical system issues.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and precision in design and documentation.
- Project Management: Capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks while meeting deadlines and ensuring highquality outcomes.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications or professional memberships (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience with additional design tools such as AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks Electrical.
- Knowledge of industrial control systems PLCs and SCADA systems.
- Familiarity with Rockwell Schneider or Siemens hardware and software.
- Handson experience with installation commissioning or site supervision of electrical systems.
