Backend Engineer

Job Title: Backend Engineer (AI Integration Specialist) We are seeking a talented Backend Developer (AI Integration Specialist) with a strong background in AI integration and API development. This individual will be responsible for evaluating, selecting, and implementing the best AI APIs (e.g., Open AI, Claude) for our product features. Lead efforts in integrating advanced AI solutions into our backend systems. The ideal candidate is proficient in backend development, understands AI prompt engineering, and has the ability to develop and optimize solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative AI-powered features, enhance backend performance, and ensure seamless integration with AI APIs such as Open AI and Claude.    Qualifications:

• 3 years in Backend Development with at least 2 years of experience with Node.js
• 2 years in MongoDB
• Expertise in creating Aggregation Pipelines
• Database optimizations and schema design
• At least 1+ year of hands-on experience in AI development and integration with APIs like OpenAI, Claude, or similar platforms.
• Experience in fine tuning and prompt engineering
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for deploying AI-powered backend systems.
• Deep understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs, and experience with API development, testing, integration, and optimizing performance.
• Strong problem-solving & analytical skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Superb interpersonal, communication, time management, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and recommend the most suitable AI APIs for specific features.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems for integrating AI APIs like OpenAI, Claude, or similar platforms.
• Optimize and fine-tune AI prompts, inputs, and responses to ensure seamless and efficient user experiences.
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code to implement API integrations and backend features.
• Implement AI-based features by integrating APIs and optimizing prompt engineering and input handling.
• Assess and recommend the best APIs for specific features to align with project objectives.
• Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance optimization for all AI-driven components.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in AI APIs and recommend new opportunities for integration.
• Debug and resolve issues in the backend systems related to AI API interactions.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to other developers, ensuring best practices in AI integration and backend development.
