Key Responsibilities: ServiceNow SAM Development & Implementation:
- Develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow SAM modules, ensuring effective asset lifecycle management.
- Configure workflows, rules, and SAM processes using ServiceNow platform capabilities.
- Implement software discovery and normalization processes.
- Customize license metrics, entitlement imports, and reclamation processes in alignment with business requirements.
- Integrate SAM modules with third-party systems such as SCCM, Active Directory, and other IT asset management tools.
- Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving ServiceNow platform and SAM-related issues.
- Develop and maintain integration scripts using JavaScript and ServiceNow Glide APIs.
- Conduct software license reconciliation to ensure compliance with vendor contracts.
- Analyze software usage data to identify optimization opportunities and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Ensure the organization's software assets adhere to regulatory and audit requirements.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs for software asset tracking and compliance monitoring.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including IT, procurement, and legal teams, to align SAM processes with business needs.
- Train and mentor team members on SAM best practices and ServiceNow functionalities.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development with at least 3 years specializing in SAM.
- In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow SAM, ITAM, and ITSM modules.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, ServiceNow Glide API, and ServiceNow development best practices.
- Experience with software discovery tools and integrating SAM with enterprise systems (e.g., SCCM, AD).
- Strong understanding of software licensing models (e.g., perpetual, SaaS, concurrent).
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – SAM.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (e.g., ISO 19770, GDPR).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
