The Role of a Recruiter A Recruiter’s job is a hybrid role – it is not just about recruitment. It also encompasses business development, account management, marketing, and customer service all rolled into one. It is about understanding people’s needs and motivations, and managing clients’ and candidates’ expectations. It is also about building relationships. A challenging role indeed, but a very meaningful one! Responsibilities Business Development: Initiate a range of business development and marketing activities to build new corporate clients and grow your own client portfolio. Account Management: Manage internal and external stakeholders and clients on their hiring needs. Talent Acquisition: Engage in candidate sourcing activities, such as publishing job advertisements and conducting candidate referrals, to ensure a consistent supply of candidates to meet client's needs. Candidate Management: Manage candidates’ job needs and expectations, their payroll and employment benefits.
